Becoming a member
| Applications for Full Membership to the Suffolk Craft Society are welcome throughout the year and it is a three-stage process.
STAGE ONE - APPLICATION
Once a completed application is received and there is a manageable group of new applicants an interview date will be set and applicants are invited to attend an interview with examples of their work.
STAGE TWO - INTERVIEW
At the interview the panel will expect to see examples of current work and be given information on how it is unique and how the applicant wishes to develop. The panel do not want to see examples of student work.
STAGE THREE - PERIOD OF ASSOCIATION
A successful applicant is accepted as an Associate Member and will expect to be an associate member for at least a year. Associate Members can immediately participate and submit work to Society outlets and exhibitions with the normal selection procedures in place. After this period of association, members are presented for consideration for Full Membership by the vote of members at an AGM. |
